Dinos!

Sink your teeth into DINOS! That's right, the kings and queens of Jurassic Park are back home in Pittsburgh for an unforgettable display. Dinosaurs in Their Time offers a whole new way to see the massive creatures of the past. Set up in scientifically accurate environments, these dinos are part of the new display at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Coming June 15, 2008, T-Rex is back! The museum's own Tyrannosaurus Rex is joined by a brand new T-Rex for the fight of the century. Posed mid-battle, this exhibit is awesome!

The dinosaurs of the past would have a great view of present-day Pittsburgh thanks to their enormous height. You can take advantage of a similar view from atop of the Cathedral of Learning, located just minutes from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Oakland. With all of the fun activities to do in the area, from museums to sporting events and everything in between, you'll want to spend all day in Pittsburgh's own college town, Oakland.

Best of all, purchasing tickets through VisitPittsburgh gives you VIP access to Dinosaurs in Their Time. This means that while everyone else has to purchase timed-tickets, your tickets are good at all times! Exhibition times are Tu-S: 10-5; Th: 10-8; Su: 12-5. It takes about an hour to see the entire exhibition, so give yourself time to see Dinosaurs in Their Time.
