Synge Cycle

07/25/2008

The Pittsburgh Irish + Classical Theatre is the only spot where you can find the complete works of John Millington Synge.

From Jul 25-Aug 26, PICT will honor the great works of John Millington Synge with this incredible festival. Stop by for a performance of Playboy, the play that sparked riots in Ireland when it first premiered! The story follows a young playboy who is the recipient of much attention from the Mayo women.

The series continues with showings of all of Synge's one-act plays. Riders of the Sea, Well of the Saints, When the Mon has Set, Deirdre of the Sorrows, Tinker's Wedding and The Shadow of the Glen all grace the stage in this spectacular display of showmanship. All shows take place at The Charity Randall Theatre in Oakland.

Visit the Pittsburgh Irish + Classical Theatre's website for show times and additional information.
